Failure to display BOTH the NYS registration sticker on the windshield AND
this Temporary Certificate of Registration may result in the issuance of a traffic or parking ticket.

DIRECTIONS

1. Do not remove the registration windshield sticker currently on your vehicle until you receive your new
sticker in the mail.
2. Fold this paper on the dotted line and place it on your dashboard under your registration sticker making sure
that your temporary certificate and your vehicle identification number (VIN) are visible.
3. Failure to display BOTH the NYS registration sticker on the windshield AND this Temporary Certificate of
Registration may result in the issuance of a traffic or parking ticket.
4. If you do not receive the permanent registration sticker that replaces this temporary document by the
expiration date, please call or visit DMV at www.dmv.ny.gov, or visit your local motor vehicles office.
