Learning English

Part 1
1. How long have you been learning English? I have been learning English for about five years
now. I started learning English when I was 15 years old.

2. How do you study it? I study it by reading books, watching movies in English, and practicing
conversations with friends. I also use online resources, like apps, to improve my grammar and
vocabulary.

3. What do you find most difficult when learning English? I find listening comprehension
quite challenging, especially when native speakers talk very fast or use slang words.

4. Do you think it's important to learn languages? Yes, I think learning languages is very
important because it helps us communicate with people from different cultures and understand
their perspectives. It also opens up more opportunities for work and travel.

5. Is it important for children to learn foreign languages? Absolutely. Learning foreign

languages at a young age helps children develop cognitive skills, and it becomes easier for them
to pick up other languages later in life. It also helps them grow into more open-minded and
global citizens.

Part 2
Learning English is an essential part of modern life, especially as it has become the
international language. To improve my English speaking skills, I have considered
three options: joining an English class at a center, joining an English club, and talking
to foreigners in public places. After careful consideration, I have decided that
joining an English class at a center is the best choice for me.

Firstly, attending a class at a center provides me with professional guidance from

experienced teachers. This helps me correct my pronunciation and grammar accurately.
Secondly, classes often have a clear curriculum and study plan, which allows me to
track my progress and stay motivated.

While joining an English club is also a good option, it may lack professional guidance,
which could slow down my learning process. Similarly, talking to foreigners in public
places can offer real-life communication practice, but I might feel shy or lack confidence
when approaching strangers.
In conclusion, although each method has its own advantages and
disadvantages, I believe that joining an English class at a center is the most
suitable choice for my learning needs and goals.

Part 3

Learning English offers numerous advantages that can significantly impact our lives.
Firstly, it allows us to travel the world with ease. English is widely spoken in many
countries, making it easier to communicate, navigate, and enjoy different cultures.

Secondly, English fluency can help us find a good job with a higher salary. Many
international companies require English skills, and being fluent can reach more job
opportunities and career advancement.

Additionally, learning English enables us to make friends with people from all over
the world. It breaks down language barriers and allows us to connect with diverse
individuals, enriching our social experiences.

Finally, learning English also enhances our access to information and education.
Many educational resources, books, and online courses are available in English,
providing us with a wealth of knowledge.

In conclusion, learning English is a valuable skill that offers travel opportunities,

career benefits, social connections, and educational access.
Family

each other and enjoy spending time together.
2. Do you have a large or small family?: I have a small family, consisting of
my parents, my younger brother, and me.
3. What do your family like doing together?: We love having family dinners
and watching movies together on weekends. We also enjoy going on trips and
exploring new places.
4. Who are you close to in your family?: I'm particularly close to my mom.
We share a lot of interests and often have long conversations about
everything.

Situation: Your family are choosing an activity for your parents' wedding anniversary.
Which

one is the best choice: a party at a restaurant, going on holiday, a party at home.
For my parents' wedding anniversary, we have three options: a party at a restaurant,
going on holiday, or a party at home. After careful consideration, I believe a party at
home is the best choice.

Having a party at home is personal and cozy. It allows us to create a warm and cozy
atmosphere. We can decorate the space with meaningful items and play their favorite
songs. Additionally, we can invite their close friends, making the celebration even
more special and enjoyable.

While a restaurant offers convenience and a variety of food, it might lack the personal
touch and comfort of home. Restaurants can also be noisy, which might not be suitable
for a special occasion.

Going on holiday is exciting, but it can be expensive and requires more planning. It
might also be challenging to find a destination that suits everyone's schedule.

In conclusion, a party at home provides a comfortable and personalized setting,

allowing us to include their close friends, making it the most suitable choice for
celebrating my parents' anniversary.
Establishing family rules has many positive effects on children. Firstly, it helps them
learn to have good manners. When children know what is expected of them, they
learn to be polite and respectful, which is important for their social development.

Secondly, family rules teach children about safety. By understanding rules like not
playing with dangerous objects or looking both ways before crossing the street, children
learn to protect themselves and stay safe in different situations.

Additionally, my own idea is that family rules help children develop a sense of
responsibility. When they follow rules about chores or homework, they learn to manage
their time and tasks effectively, which prepares them for future responsibilities.

In conclusion, establishing family rules is beneficial as it teaches children good

manners, safety, and responsibility, all of which are essential for their growth and
development.
House
1. Do you live in a house or a flat? I live in a house. It's located in city center.
2. Who do you live with? I live with my family, which includes my parents, my
younger sister, and me. We enjoy spending time together.
3. Are there many rooms in your home? Yes, there are five rooms in my house,
2 bedrooms, living room, kitchen, and bathroom. We have enough space for
everyone.
4. What is your favorite room? My favorite room is the living room. It's where I
relax and watch TV after a day of work.
5. What would you change about your home? I and my sibling love swimming,
so we would like to have a swimming pool and a big garden. It would be great for
outdoor activities.
6. Do you plan to live there in the future? I plan to live in my home for a while.
However, I will move to a new house when I get married.

PART 2: SOLUTION DISCUSSION © 4 mins

Situation: You are going to get married soon. Where would you choose: live with your
parents, buy a flat near the city center, buy a house 10 km far away.

I am going to get married this December and I have three options: live with my parents, buy
a flat near the city center, or buy a house 10 kilometers far away. After careful
consideration, I believe that buying a house 10 kilometers far away is the best choice.

Firstly, living a bit outside the city offers more space and a quieter environment, which is
ideal for starting a family. Secondly, houses in these areas often have gardens that provide a
great place for relaxation and outdoor activities. My wife and I also create barbeque parties
on the weekends.

Living with my parents is convenient and cheaper, but it could limit our independence and
privacy. Besides, I don’t want to rely on them anymore. Buying a flat near the city center is
convenient for work, but it might be more expensive and offer less space.

In conclusion, while each option has its advantages and disadvantages, I think buying a
house 10 kilometers far away is the best choice for me because it provides more space,
comfortable lifestyle, and fresh environment.
