HOW TO UNDERSTAND MYSELF 101

A 4-Week Course

By Jakes: For Carol , Energy: Becoming

WEEK 1: WHO TF AM I, REALLY?

Theme: Self-Awareness | Identity | Unfiltered Reflection

“Before you figure out your future, figure out your fingerprint.”

Monday – "The Mirror Moment"

- Journal: If nobody had ever told me who I am, who would I be?

- Write a raw freestyle about how you feel in your own skin. Spelling doesn’t matter.
Honesty does.

Tuesday – "The Feeling Lab"

- Track your emotional weather. Every 3 hours, rate your mood (1-10), and ask: What
just happened?

- Note: What do I usually feel, and what do I avoid?

Wednesday – "The Playlist of Me"

- Create a 5-song playlist that describes your current season of life.

- For each song, write: Why this one? What part of me does it speak to?

Thursday – "Behind the Scenes"

- Journal: What parts of me live backstage? Why do I keep them there?

- Draw your “public self” and your “inner self” — simple sketches or emojis are fine.

Friday – "Real Talk Recap"

- Have a self-check: What did I learn about myself this week that felt true, surprising, or
hard?
- Bonus: Record a 1-minute voice note saying one thing you’re proud of about yourself.

WEEK 2: WHO PROGRAMMED ME?

Theme: Beliefs | Influence | De-conditioning

“We inherit stories — but we also get to rewrite the script.”

Monday – "The Origin File"

- List 3 personality traits or fears. Then trace them: Where did I learn this?

- Ask: Was it love, fear, pressure, or survival?

Tuesday – "The Voices in My Head"

- Prompt: Whose opinion still echoes in my choices — even when they’re not around?

- Write a fake convo between “me” and “that voice.” Then write how you want to
respond.

Wednesday – "Myth Breaker Day"

- Pick one belief about yourself that you’re done with. (e.g. “I’m too emotional,” “I don’t
finish things.”)

- Destroy it. Cross it out. Burn it (safely). Replace it with a new truth.

Thursday – "Soft Rebellion"

- Do one small thing today just because you want to — not because you should.

- Reflect: How did it feel to choose myself, even in a tiny way?

Friday – "The Inner Child Check-In"

- Journal: What did 10-year-old me need to hear but never did?

- Write her a letter. Let your present self be the one she needed.

---

WEEK 3: FEEL IT ALL, THEN CHOOSE

Theme: Emotional Intelligence | Authentic Reactions | Energy Awareness

“Feelings are teachers. Energy doesn’t lie.”

Monday – "Emotions Are Not The Enemy"

- List 5 emotions you’ve felt in the last 7 days. What triggered them?

- Rank: Which emotion do you trust most? Which one scares you?

Tuesday – "Emotional GPS"

- Draw a map: When this emotion shows up, where do I feel it in my body?

- Add: What’s one thing I usually do when I feel this — and one thing I could do instead?

Wednesday – "Vibe Audit"

- Who or what has been draining your peace lately? What or who gives you life?

- Create a “Stay close to / Step back from” list.

Thursday – "No More Shrinking Day"

- Say one thing today you usually hold back — a boundary, a compliment, a truth.

- Reflect: What happened when I spoke up?

Friday – "Emotional Alchemy"

- Journal: What am I holding in that wants to be felt and freed?

- Use art, poetry, or a 3am-style rant to let it out.

---

WEEK 4: THE GLOW-UP IS INTERNAL

Theme: Self-Compassion | Purpose | Personal Power

“Knowing yourself is the beginning. Loving yourself is the revolution.”

Monday – "Redefining Self-Love"

- Write your own definition of self-love. Forget trends. What does it feel like?

- What does it look like in practice, not just affirmations?

Tuesday – "No More Sorrys"

- Write a list: What parts of me am I done apologizing for?

- Stand in front of a mirror and read it aloud.

Wednesday – "The Becoming Letter"

- Write a letter from your future self (age 30?) to your current self.

- Let her tell you what you’ve overcome, who you’ve become, and what still matters
most.

Thursday – "Create Your Creed"

- Write 5 soul truths you live by now — your personal code.

- Example: “I choose peace over proving.” “My soft is not weakness.”

- Optional: Design a wallpaper or lock screen with it.

Friday – "Graduation Day (No Cap, Just Realness)"

- Reflect: What have I understood, reclaimed, or accepted about myself in these 4 weeks?

- Final task: Record a video or voice message to yourself. Save it. Rewatch on your next
breakdown or breakthrough.

BONUS IDEAS

- Weekend walks or snack chats. No deep talk required, just presence.

- Have “Wild Card Wednesdays” — one day to do something spontaneous or weird just
for fun.

- Share memes, music, or poetry that match your current self-discovery mood.
