Importance of Health Insurance

Although Washington University of Science and Technology does not require F1-VISA students
to have insurance, the university strongly recommends students purchase health insurance.
Medical treatment in the USA can be very expensive, and injury and illness are often
unforeseen. Students can purchase health insurance through the following companies that
partner with Washington University of Science and Technology (this list is not comprehensive).
