The Energy Footprint Simulation
Objective
To help students understand how everyday actions and technologies contribute to
environmental impact, and how green technologies can reduce that impact by lowering
energy use and carbon emissions.
Instructions
1. Form groups of 3–4 students.
2. Distribute the scenario cards.
3. Calculate the total carbon points based on your group's scenarios.
4. Identify which activities involve green technology.
5. Replace high-impact activities with greener alternatives and recalculate.
6. Compare the original and improved footprints.
