■ 3-Month Beginner Trading Roadmap

This roadmap will guide you step-by-step in learning trading. It is designed for beginners who want
structure and clarity. Follow it at your own pace, and always remember: risk management and
consistency are more important than quick profits.

Month 1 – Foundation & Basics

• Learn what stocks, forex, crypto, and commodities are.
• Understand brokers, exchanges, and order types (market, limit, stop-loss).
• Choose your market (stocks, forex, or crypto).
• Open a demo account and practice placing trades.
• Learn candlestick charts.
• Study daily (Investopedia, YouTube: Rayner Teo, Book: Trading for a Living).
• ■ Goal: Know how to read charts, place demo trades, and understand risk management.

Month 2 – Strategy & Analysis

• Learn support/resistance, trend lines, moving averages, RSI, MACD.
• Create a simple strategy (e.g., MA + RSI).
• Apply strict risk management (risk 1–2% per trade).
• Log every demo trade in a trading journal.
• ■ Goal: Have a basic trading strategy and 20–30 demo trades completed.

Month 3 – Psychology & Going Live

• Learn trading psychology: manage fear, greed, impatience.
• Fund a live account with small money you can afford to lose.
• Trade very small positions ($10–20 per trade).
• Evaluate your performance after 20–30 live trades.
• Adjust your strategy based on journal review.
• ■ Goal: Take your first real trades and practice emotional control.

■■ Remember: Trading is not a get-rich-quick scheme. Focus on protecting your money, learning
discipline, and building consistency. Profits will follow experience.
