of high quality. Improve practice in the productive field.
MASTERS
Objective:
The master's degree in Science and Engineering (of Computing) should be considered as
a professional and terminal training cycle aimed at improving the practice of these
disciplines in the productive field and train teachers of this discipline at the level
technician, bachelor's degree, and master's degree. However, a student or graduate of a master's degree
you can enroll in the doctoral program, meeting the requirements set forth in the
point 3.6.
Admission requirements:
I have covered all the credits of a bachelor's degree in science or engineering (of the
computing) or a related field, with a minimum overall average of 8.0 or equivalent. The
exception cases will be resolved, with full justification, by the academic committee.
Take the diagnostic exam.
Know how to program in some high-level programming language.
Establish the commitment to dedicate full-time (40 hours a week) to the
academic activities that take place each semester.
Pass a comprehension exam of technical texts in a language different from
Spanish, to be chosen from those indicated by the academic committee. The exam will focus on
on themes of Computer Science and Engineering.
In the event that Spanish is not the applicant's native language, the following will apply
examination referred to in Article 7, paragraph d), of the General Regulation of
Postgraduate Studies.
The diagnostic exam is an entrance requirement that aims to assess the knowledge.
student preparation on a series of basic topics in science and engineering
Bachelor's level computing. This exam will be designed and organized by a
admission committee appointed by the academic committee, in accordance with what is stated
in the operational standards. The approving report of academic sufficiency will depend on
from the result of this exam as well as the additional information that the committee itself
of admission requires.
In order to guide students in taking this exam, they will be able to
impart courses that will not have curricular value. The student who requests it
will be accepted on a single occasion to the preparatory courses, with a maximum count
of two opportunities to take the diagnostic exam. The admissions committee
will have the authority to indicate to the student who has been admitted if they need to cover some
courses outside the program, without curricular value.
For foreign applicants, the academic committee may establish a
equivalence to the diagnostic exam through graded exams that can be
presented in their country of origin.

Doctoral studies focus on the research and development that the student
it takes place throughout their time in the program. The doctoral structure
will consist, in accordance with article 21 of the RGEP, in a first phase of work

mandatory character. Once this plan is approved, it can only be changed with
authorization of the academic committee and based on a reasoned request from the student and
approved by its advisory committee.
It is considered positive, within doctoral studies and research, that the student
that the candidate for the degree performs as a teacher complementing
research activities, with a maximum of five hours per week. It will be encouraged
the execution of teaching work at the undergraduate or master's level, at the suggestion of
student advisory committee.
