When you firmly accept your offer, accommodation information, including details of how to

Please note that Bristol is a popular student city so accommodation can be in high demand. We

Tuition Fees
You will be responsible for the payment of tuition fees unless the whole or part of the amount is
to be paid by a sponsor. Further information regarding fees and other financial information will
be made available through your UWE Welcome website.

Deposit
You will be required to pay a deposit of £5500 to be able to enrol on your programme of study.
This does not apply where your total course fee is less then £5500 in which case you should
pay the full tuition fee. Please note that by paying the tuition fee deposit you agree to UWE’s
refund policy. More information can be found

If you are a Government Sponsored student, sponsored by an International Scholarship Agency


or have applied for a Direct Loan (US applicants only), you are not required to pay a tuition fee
deposit. We do ask that you inform us that you are receiving one of these scholarships so we
can note this on your application.

these and meet them. Not doing so may result in your offer being withdrawn.

Please note that some of our courses have strict capacity. Due to this, we may have to close
deposits prior to published deadlines. To ensure you don’t pay the deposit after this time, we
will notify you of the situation and withdraw your place of study.
Methods of Payment
We recommend you pay using an international bank transfer as UWE has partnered with
Flywire to allow you to create an account and pay tuition and accommodation in your local

Scholarships/Financial Assistance
UWE offers many scholarships to international students. Details of our scholarships, and
organisations that may be able to help you with funding, are listed on our

Please note that all scholarships, unless otherwise specified, are not able to be deferred. If you
are offered a scholarship and subsequently defer your place, the scholarship offer will be
withdrawn. You will then need to re-apply / be reconsidered for the scholarship the following
year.

Student Visa Route Students: Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies Statement (CAS)
Please note the University reserves the right to refuse to issue a CAS where an individuals'
circumstances may compromise or pose a risk to its Sponsor Licence. We will start issuing
CAS Statements 3 months before the start of the course. Before we can do this, we need the
following from you:

• Copies of all relevant qualification certificates.


• Copy of English Language qualification.
• Payment of the £5500 deposit or a copy of your sponsorship letter. Please note that we need
the deposit payment to have reached our bank account – please check the processing times for
your chosen method of payment.
• Completion of the passport and CAS assessment task, which are available on the 'My Visa'
tab in your UWE Welcome website.
• If applicable, copies of financial documents such as bank statements and all relevant

• If applicable, ATAS certificate. You will receive a separate communication from us if you
require an ATAS certificate.

Please note some students may be invited to attend a pre cas interview to ensure that they are
well prepared for their studies at UWE and that they are successful in receiving their visa.

Our Contractual Obligation


If you become a student of the University it is a term of your contract that the University will
take all reasonable steps to provide you with the educational services described in its
prospectus. This cannot be guaranteed if circumstances beyond the control of the University
interfere with its ability to provide those services but the University will make every effort to
minimise any disruption to your education.

Right to cancel
Should you decide to accept this place, and then change your mind, you have the right to
cancel within 14 days without giving reason. This cancellation period will expire 14 days from
the date of your acceptance.

To exercise the right to cancel you must inform us of your decision to cancel in a clear
statement by email or letter within the cancellation period. Alternatively you can choose to
download and return our cancellation form www2.uwe.ac.uk/services/Marketing/what-can-i-
study/Courses/Policies%2016-17/Application%20cancellation%20form.docx but this is not
obligatory.
