Students scoring 8 or more in inattention and impulsivity meet the behavioral criteria for the
attention deficit disorder without hyperactivity and should be referred to clinical care.

Students who score 8 or more points in inattention, impulsivity, and hyperactivity gather the
criteria for attention deficit with hyperactivity and must be referred to clinical attention.

Some students with attention deficit disorder, who are emotionally inhibited, do not
they will meet the criteria for impulsivity and hyperactivity but they must also be referred.

Students who score 17 or more points on scales 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 must also be


referred for clinical care

Note: according to the criteria of the American Psychiatric Association in 1987, the new name
for attention deficit disorder, it is attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).

INSTRUCTION - OWENS SCALE

I. APPLICATION:

The Owens scale must be applied by an adult who has a close


relationship with the child (teachers, parents, or caregivers)
2. The application consists of writing about the bold line that follows the statement,
the number that best describes the child's behavior.
3. Ages: Applicable to children between 6 and 16 years old.

II. CALIFICACIÓN:

1. Sume el total de las columnas verticales de los reactivos 1 al 25 y coloque el valor


obtained at the end of each column. The same procedure for the reagents from 26 to
50.
2. Transfer the score of each column to the grading protocol. (I Column)
3. Mark with an x the box that corresponds to the score obtained.

III. INTERPRETATION:

Students scoring 8 or more in inattention and impulsivity meet the criteria.
