Dave Schmittou is a father of four and currently the Executive Director of Curriculum and Instruction for a school district in Michigan. He is a former teacher, assistant principal, principal, and college professor. In 2014 he was the Michigan Administrator of the Year and in 2018 was the Michigan College Educator of the Year. He is the author of the books It's Like Riding a BIke: How to make learning last a lifetime and Bold Humility. He is also the host of the Lasting Learning podcast.
