We conclude chapter 9 of the Book of John. We are still in the story of the man who was born blind that Jesus gave sight to. Because the formerly blind man would not lie about who healed him and because he exposed the Pharisees' hypocrisy, they excommunicated him from the Jewish Synagogue. Jesus hears about this and reveals to the man that He is the Messiah.
