Adolf Hitler rose to power in Germany from humble beginnings as an unimportant Austrian. He was born in 1889 in Braunau, Austria and became the leader of Germany. Despite failing art school twice, he became a politician and military leader who was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. However, he is most known for leading Germany during World War II and being responsible for the deaths of around 50 million people worldwide.
