Benefits of Communicative Language Teaching

Why should teachers use CLT


in teaching language?
• In the CLT, teachers will use the language
suitable to a given social context.
=> It helps students have to know the linguistic
forms, meanings, functions, suitable form in
the social context and the roles of the talkers.
• In CLT, teachers will use activities such as games,
role-plays and problem solving task through
communicative.
=> It helps that students use the language a
great deal

• Teachers use the authentic materials


=> Gives students on opportunity to develop
strategies for understanding language as it is
actually used by native speakers
• With the help of the teacher, students find a
chance to express their individuality by having
them share their ideas and opinion on a
regular basis.
• In this method, all skills work. This is very
useful from the view of target language
learning.
