Metaphors of Globalization

The document discusses metaphors of globalization using the concepts of solidity and liquidity. It describes solidity as referring to fixed landforms and man-made barriers that provide boundaries, while liquidity describes the increasing ease of movement of people, information, and goods globally. This liquidity creates flows as people, traditions, and information move more freely across borders in the modern world.
