INTRODUCTION
The project “Library Management System" is developed in Microsoft access
and [Link]. which mainly focuses on basic operations in a library like adding
new members, new books and updating new information, searching books
and members and facility to issue and return books.
BACKROUND AND MOTIVATION
 The library management system is manual it has to face various difficulties.

 Manual system are slow to operate.

 Manual system cannot store large amount of data efficiently

 Staff spends a lot of their time on clerical works.


PROBLEM IN BREIF
The manual library management system includes following Problems
 The existing system involves a lot of paperwork and manual calculation. This has the
problem in maintenance of data.

 The data, which is stored on the paper only, may be lost, stolen or destroyed due to
natural calamity like fire and water.

 The existing system is sluggish and spend lot of time. this is inconvenience to library staff
and members.

 Since there are many books related to different scopes thus it would be very difficult to
find a specific book, or edit the data of some books.
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
 Manage the information of members and books.

 Simple and easy to use

 Highly secure

 This project capable for managing books issues, returns and


calculating , managing fins.
SOLUTION
 Creating tables in access database.
That tables are ,
Members details table, books details table, issues books table
 enter the suitable dataset into suitable tables.
 Create forms for tables.
 Connecting the following database to [Link].
 manage the interface and type coding's for the project.
 check errors and fix that bugs.
 Get final output of the project.
