Boxing the Compass Explained

The document provides instructions for boxing the compass, which involves ranking and ordering the points of the compass. It lists the 4 main ranks from most to least dominant: 1) North and South, 2) East and West, 3) 2 letter cardinals, 4) 3 letter cardinals. It then explains how to draw and label the compass points in the proper dominant order, including the main cardinals, intercardinals, by-cardinals, and an example application problem calculating distance based on speed and change in bearing over time.
