INTRODUCTION
 A refrigerator is a
heat engine
in which work is done on arefrigerant substance in order to collect energy from a cold regionand exhaust it in a higher temperature region, thereby furthercooling the cold region.
2’nd Law of Thermodynamics (The Clausius statement)
 –
“it is impossible for heat to flow from a colder body to a warmer body without any work having been done to accomplish this flow”
