Realize the importance of freedom In Christ

this
Independence Day...

Hello Everyone, Greetings to you in the name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I hope that you all have been doing really great all through the last month. And, He is mighty enough to lead us through this 8th month. For we Indians, its a month when we remember to honor our country and respect our countrys independence. At this time Im greatly reminded of something else too. Its the independence as a believer in Christ, and also the dependence on someone who is mightier than any nation or kingdom of the world. As a Christian, it is really our duty to really understand both the extremes in our walk of faith. Let me take you to Galatians 5:1 which says, For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery. That is right! I was bound tight by the yoke of slavery, the slavery which followed me right from my mothers womb. The slavery of sin. And, Satan tried to keep me ignorant about this. But, the Son of God, Christ himself came down to the earth to set me free from this yoke of slavery. By His saving blood which He shed for me on the cross, I know I am free now! Logically any sin committed needs a blood sacrifice. Jesus did it for me. How about you? Are you sure that Christ washed your sins? Coz it says, Were you a bondservant when called? Do not be concerned about it. (But if you can gain your freedom, avail yourself of the opportunity.) in 1 Corinthians 7:21. Thatz right! Avail your freedom in Christ right now! You are no more to be called a bondservant to the yoke of slavery. At the same time be reminded of what it reads in Galatians 5:13, For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. Here, I am reminded that I should not use my freedom in Christ for my own selfish longings, which in turn makes me to have 100% dependence on Christ himself, and to love and serve my neighbor. Undoubtedly, I need His help. Let these words make its own way into your heart and make a big difference!! Happy Independence! God Bless India!

There was a little old lady who was very spiritual who would step out on her porch every day, raise her arms to the sky and yell, "Praise the Lord

Yet, the little old lady continued. One cold, wintry day, when the little old lady couldn't get to the store, she went out on her porch, her hands up to the sky and said, "Help me Lord, I have no more money, it's cold, and I have no more food." The next morning, she went outside, and there were bags of food on the porch, enough to last her a week. "Praise the Lord," she yelled. The Atheist stepped out from the bushes and said, "There is no Lord, ha ha ha, I bought those groceries!" Hold on the ending is good!!!! The little old lady raised her arms to the sky and said, "Praise the Lord, You sent me groceries and you made the Devil pay for them!"

Too often we give God a watereddown version of our feelings, hoping we won't offend him or make him curious about our motives. As we use the psalms to express our feelings, we learn that honesty, openness and sincerity are valuable to God. Following are several types of prayers with examples from Psalms. Note that the psalm writers communicated with God in a variety of ways for a variety of reasons. Each of us is invited to communicate with God. Using the psalms will enrich your personal prayer life. But, never think meditating Psalms substitutes your bible reading and meditation.
August 15th is Independence Day, but we should always live IN DEPENDENCE ON GOD

There is the story of a pastor who got up one Sunday and announced to his congregation: 'I have good news and bad news. The good news is, we have enough money to pay for our new building program. The bad news is, it's still out there in your pockets.'

One day, an atheist bought the house next door to her, and he became very irritated with the spiritual lady. So after a month or so of her yelling, "Praise the Lord" from her porch, he would go outside on his porch and yelled back, "There is no Lord."

Prayer is human communication with God. Psalms could be described as a collection of song-prayers. Probably the most striking feature of theses prayers is their unedited honesty. The words often express our own feelings feelings that we would prefer no one, much less God, ever knew. Making these psalms our prayers can teach us a great deal about how God wants us to communicate with him.

Q. What kind of man was Boaz before he married? A. Ruthless. Q. What kind of motor vehicles are in the Bible? A. Jehovah drove Adam and Eve out of the Garden in a Fury. David's Triumph was heard throughout the land. Also, probably a Honda, because the apostles were all in one Accord. Q. Which servant of God was the most flagrant lawbreaker in the Bible? A. Moses. He broke all 10 commandments at once.
In Sunday School, they were teaching how God created everything, including human beings. Little Johnny seemed especially intent when they told him how Eve was created out of one of Adam's ribs. Later in the week, his mother noticed him lying down as though he were ill, and said,'Johnny what is the matter?'Little Johnny responded,'I have a pain in my side. I think I'm going to have a wife.'

Its all about Abraham this month!

I hope that things are going pretty well for you all. As this edition of Younger Hearts comes out, we are moving fast to the end of this year. It always amazes me how fast time flies. At this point in time how is your life going? I recall seeing a CD cover of Bryan Adams. The title read, "So far so good", and it had a picture of a tyre. Are things going pretty well for you? Or is your life like that of a Formula One Race Car Driver - you're in a race and you are surrounded all around but you manage to take the lead but when you are almost there, some one clips your tail and you spin around out of control and there goes your entire season down the drain. All of us at any point of time have uncertainties in our lives. In Isaiah 6 we can see that Israel lived in uncertain days. The kind had died and it was an uncertain time. During the uncertainties in Isaiah's life Isaiah sees a vision of the Lord. Isaiah sees the Lord sitting on the throne. How is your perspective of God today? We need to realize the FACT that the Lord is on the throne and He is in control of all things.

. I would like to encourage you with the words of a song by Audio Adrenaline called, We're a Band". And the chorus goes like this: We're a band, We're a band With guitars in our hands we're crossing the land We're a band, We're a band For the Son of man, we will take a stand You can make a plan, He'll be back again We're a band, We're a band We're a band, We're a band May the Good Lord bless you all as you continue to strive to live for Him.

Secondly we can see that the Lord is mentioned as, "Holy, Holy, Holy". We can see the marvelous character of God. God is flawless, there is no weakness in Him. He expects us to be holy. God always cares for us. When Isaiah sees the Lord, Isaiah feels totally unworthy and unclean. It is at that point of time God touches him and purifies him. God wants to purify us. He wants to pour out His Spirit on us. He wants us to experience Him, more and more day by day. Finally the Lord asks him, "Whom shall I send and who will go for us? Isaiah says, Here Am I". We need to realize the ultimate FACT that it is God who calls us to His service. We have all been called to serve Him. So backed up by the Perspective of the Awesome Reality of God, backed up by the Awesome Touch of God, backed up by the Awesome call of God, we can go out and live for Him.
