Section 6.4 - Abandonment of Grievance.

Section 6.5 - Union Representation. The Union president or steward, as designated by the Union to represent aggneved employees for the purposes of adjusting grievances, shall be granted leave from duty without loss of pay for all meJtiogs between the City and the Union through arbitration for the pu{pose of processing grievanies, when such meetings take place at a time dwing which such employees are scheduled to b" oo duty. In addition, one grievant shall be granted leave from duty without loss of pay for such meetings.

ARTICLE VII - DISCPLINE


Section 7.0 - Sole Disciplinary Procedure. The provisions of this Article zupersede and replace all disciplinary procedures of the Crty's merit system ordinance. Section 7.1.

Any disciplinary action (e.g. reprirnand, suspension, demotion, dismissal) taken conceming nonprobationary employees shall be for just cause. Before any employee is reprimanded in writing, the employee shall be informed that the City is contemplating such an action and shall, upon request of theemployee, meet and discuss the action with the employee and his or her Union representative if
such representation is desired.

Section 7.2 - Appeal Rishts Limited

An employee who has cornpleted the probationary period may appeal any discipiinary action taken
against him through the grievance procedure of this Agreement.

Section 8.0 - WorkDay and WorkWeek.
