Electro House / Dance

(Electronic) Dance Dance music is the music composed specifically to accompany dancing. The form of electronic dance music came about during the early 1980s from the decline of disco as it became influenced by computerisation. IT was most commonly played in dance associated nightclubs which lead onto radio stations, shows and raves. Looping, sampling and sequencing found in disco continued to be as creative techniques within trance, techno and house music. The term dance music is applied to many forms of the electronic music, commercial and non commercial. Some of the most popular upbeat genres includes, house, techno, drum and bass, jungle, hardcore, electronica, UK garage and electro. Electro house is a sub genre of house music, it came about during the 1980s. It has become a difficult form of house music as it has its origins from 1980s electro, electroclash, pop, synthpop and tech house. The genre has now become very highly used and many top DJs such as David Guetta, deadmau5, Skrillex and Swedish House Mafia. Electro house is typically house music but with dirty bass and incorporated syths, saw waves, distortion. Satisfaction by Benny Benassi in 2002 was seen as an early form of electro house who is seen as the forerunner of the genre and who brought it mainstream. Other known producers that were also known to bring out an early form of electro house was also David Guetta and Yasutaka Nakta. By 2005 there was an increase in popularity. Electro house tracks Put Your Hands Up For Detroit by Fedde Le Grand and Yeah Yeah by Bodyrox and Luciana held the number one and number two spots, respectively, in the UK Top 40 singles charts. Since then, electro house producers such as Avicii, deadmau5, Knife Party, and Skrillex have emerged and become increasingly popular.
