Help Protect Dogs in North Carolina

Join us in supporting a bill that will help save animals suffering in puppy mills throughout our state.

It has become far too easy for puppy mills to operate in North Carolina due to the lax laws. Puppy mills are large-scale, commercial dog breeding facilities that emphasize profits over welfare. Dogs are typically housed in shockingly poor conditions. After their fertility wanes, breeding dogs are often killed, abandoned or sold cheaply to another mill to try and get "one more litter" out of the dog. The annual result of all this breeding is thousands of puppies, many with behavior and/or health problems that are sold to unwitting consumers. Many of these dogs are AKC registered.
