Detectives Arrest Suspect for Double Shooting


September 28, 2012 / Baltimore, MD- Northern District Detectives announced the arrest of 25 year old Eric Ford Sr. for his alleged involvement in a double shooting of a thirty-three year old woman and her four year old son. On September 26, 2012 at 9:19 pm, officers were dispatched to a residence in the 900 block of Gorsuch Avenue for a reported shooting in progress with multiple victims. Officers discovered a four year old victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the hip. Additionally, a second victim was located at the corner of Frisby and Homestead Ave. She was also suffering from apparent gunshot wounds to her right arm, and upper lip. Both were transported to an area hospital and are expected to survive their injuries. The suspect was identified as Eric Ford Sr., the boyfriend of the female victim and father to the four year old child. Investigators believe the suspect and female victim became engaged in a domestic dispute which became physical. Eric Ford allegedly assaulted the female victim and produced a handgun. Eric Ford Sr. allegedly discharged the weapon striking both victims prior to fleeing the scene on foot. Investigators and patrol officers worked tirelessly through the night and quickly apprehended Ford in the early hours of September 27th. Ford has been charged with two counts of the following: attempted 1st degree murder, 1st degree assault, 2nd degree assault, and reckless endangerment.
