She's been interviewed in a number of media reports about her son, so I felt comfortable reaching out to her. Also, I've spoken to quite a few individuals who've been in a choking incident or had a relative or friend who had choked and were revived after having receiving the Heimlich maneuver. As you might imagine, invariably they're delighted to share the details with me. Usually I'm asked to thank my father on their behalf for helping to rescue them or their loved ones. That wasn't the case with Mrs. Bryan. She was cordial, but, to my surprise, she refused to provide any details of the incident and instead referred me back to your company, even after I explained that Kerri Edwards and Waylon Weatherholt had failed to respond to my multiple inquiries. However, Mrs. Bryan did agree to send my questions to her son and she shared her e-mail address with me, so I sent her an e-mail and a follow-up fax asking her if she had forwarded my questions to Mr. Bryan. I've also sent three tweets to Luke Bryan's Twitter account, but I haven't received a reply: https://twitter.com/medfraud_pmh As I mentioned to you on Monday, I'm reporting a follow-up item and wanted to inform Coran Capshaw and to provide him and your agency with every opportunity to respond to the same questions which I sent to Ms. Edwards and to Mr. Weatherholt: 1) What was the date of the choking incident? 2) What's the name and location of the pizza restaurant? 3) What's the name of Mr. Bryan's friend who performed the Heimlich maneuver on him? 4) Based on his description ("I went down"), it appears that Mr. Bryan may have lost consciousness. Is that accurate? 5) Did Mr. Bryan subsequently seek medical care? 6) What's the name of the People Country reporter who interviewed Mr. Bryan? Would you please let me know by end of the day Monday, October 15 if your agency intends to provide me with the requested information? If that's the case, I'm happy to be patient until the details can be obtained and forwarded to me. However, if I don't hear from you by then, my understanding will be that your agency doesn't intend to provide the requested information. A short while later, I received a phone call from Mr. Peters. We had a friendly conversation, during which he asked me the nature of the article I was working on. I explained that I simply wanted to report the facts regarding Luke Bryan's reported choking incident. Mr. Peters cordially agreed to obtain the information and get back to me.
