The Year of Faith is an opportunity for Catholics to experience a conversion to turn back to Jesus and enter into a deeper relationship with Him. Family Faith Formation: On the table near the loft stairs you will find the October Catholic Update, Kateri Tekakwitha and Marianne Cope, Two New American Saints, the October issue of At Home with our Faith, and other weekly spiritual reading materials for all ages to take home with you, including a Childrens Worship Bulletin. No Wednesday Prayers: Halloween and Main Street activities will cause us to cancel evening prayers on October 31 . The Catholic Service Appeal Bringing Christ to Others: As of October 19th, our members have donated $2,230 to this worthy appeal, or nearly 43% of our parish goal of $5,350. Every gift matters since the funds will be used in pastoral, educational, and charitable ministries that will reach thousands of individuals and families, as well as every parish and school in our Archdiocese. If you have not yet responded with a gift, prayerfully consider doing so today. Envelopes are available in the back of church, or you may make a gift online at www.archlou.org/CSA. The History Center and Archives Tour: If you are interested in carpooling from All Saints to Louisville for the tours th on November 10 , please add your name to the Sign-up Sheet in the back of church, near the Cry Room. Tentative New Years Eve Dance: Thursday, November 1 is the deadline to indicate your interest in a proposed New Years Eve dance. Please sign the sheet in the back of church, or contact Mary Anne or LaVielle Cecil. K of C Robert Alan Jones, Sr. Scholarship: The All Saints Council #14234 is accepting applications for this scholarship, named in memory of former Grand Knight Bobby Jones. Application forms, which include the guidelines, th are on the table near the loft stairs. The deadline to apply is November 30 . Food Pantry: Please continue to drop off non-perishable food in the baskets outside the Parish Offices. St. Francis Xaviers Womens Club is hosting a Christmas Bazaar on Saturday, November 3 , from 9AM-2PM in their Parish Hall and School Building. Features: 30 Craft Booths, Chili Lunch, Cake Wheel, & Christmas Quilt Raffle. AA meets at 7:30 PM every Tuesday in the Parish Hall. An open discussion format is used. Happy Birthday: 10/30 Sandra Barnes, Tom Schmitt; 11/01 Elizabeth Martin; 11/03 Ben Fackler, Angela Lemle All Saints and All Souls Days: We encourage all parishioners to attend Mass on All Saints Day, scheduled for 6:30 st PM, Thursday, November 1 a holy day of obligation and our parish feast day. After Mass, we will gather in the Parish Hall for refreshments and fellowship. Our Parishs Book of the Names of the Dead will be on display all during November, and you are encouraged to write in it the names of your deceased loved ones. Blessed candles and handouts will be available for you to take home, so that you can pray for all the faithful departed during the month of All Souls. Photographs of your loved ones may be posted to the RE Bulletin Board in the Parish Hall. St. Francis Xavier will have an All Souls Day Mass at 8:30 AM on Friday. Please note that there will be no morning Mass on Thursday. Religious Education for Children/Youth will celebrate at our All Saints/All Souls Day Family Session, from 9:45th 11:15, this Sunday, October 28 , in the Parish Hall. All parishioners are welcome, and we ask that a parent or adult guardian accompany each child to learn together and to allow our Catechists to be with their own family. Support Jammin in Jamaica! The proceeds from the Lifesavers Youth Groups fund-raising event on Sunday, Oct. 28, help support the two poorest countries in our hemisphere, Jamaica and Haiti. Its from 12:30-2:00PM in the Hall.
