RECOMMENDATION

There are many advantages in microwave system. Therefore, is more advisable to use microwave link in propagating signal. These advantages are, the gain of antenna is proportional to its electrical size. So, one can construct high gain antennas at a microwave frequencies that are physical small. Also, a 1 % bandwidth provides more frequency range at microwave frequencies than that of higher frequency. Next, the microwave signals travel predominantly by LOS. They do not reflect off to the ionosphere unlike RF signals. At microwave frequencies, the electromagnetic properties of many materials are changing with frequency. This is due to molecular, atomic and nuclear resonance. This behavior is useful for remote sensing and other applications. There is much less background noise at microwave frequencies than at radio frequency. Microwave systems do not require a right of way acquisition between stations. Fewer repeaters are necessary for amplification. Underground facilities are also minimized. And the most important advantage was increased in reliability and less maintenance. In designing a transmitter, it must be placed in highly elevated area. High transmitter produces clear obstruction that may block the signal. So, it is also suitable to put the antenna in tall buildings because it is also a highly elevated area. Use repeaters, if there has an obstruction in the area. If the fade margin and reliability did not meet on the desired requirement, use some diversity technique. Diversity technique will increase the reliability of the signal by utilizing two or more communication channels with different characteristics. Diversity plays an important role in combating fading and co-channel interference and

avoiding error bursts. It is based on the fact that individual channels experience different levels of fading and interference. Multiple versions of the same signal may be transmitted and/or received and combined in the receiver. Alternatively, a redundant forward error correction code may be added and different parts of the message transmitted over different channels. Diversity techniques may exploit the multipath propagation, resulting in a diversity gain, often measured in decibels. Some diversity techniques are time, frequency, space, etc.
