I understand that participants are selected on merit and not on a first-come, first-served basis. The closing date for applications is Friday 26th October I enclose the full fee of 90.00 (cheques payable to La Motte Street. I understand that if my son/daughter is unsuccessful this money will be returned to me in full. I understand that the fee is not refundable should I withdraw my son/daughter. What is STUDIO School?

Studio School aims to: provide a theoretical background to digital sound recording and manipulation familiarise participants with the studio systems hardware and software build confidence in dealing with recording clients and managing recording sessions enable participants to support the studio supervisor in the professional management of recording services at La Motte Street and train on-the-job Our state-of-the art Roland M400 digital desk and digital snake is now available to offer young people a true taste of cutting-edge studio technology. Come be trained on the use of our digital recording facility. Learn about studio techniques and start the journey to joining our growing band of young engineers and producers providing services to bands and musicians across the island.
The course covers the studio environment and equipment, the recording desk and control room equipment, use of microphones and associated studio hardware, practical use of the M400 desk, REAC audio technology, advanced recording techniques and end with providing recording services to a client in a real-time situation. Those successfully completing Studio School will be qualified to provide recording services to La Motte Street clients at 16yrs of age and as and when opportunities arise.
