UPDATED NOTICE OF UTILITY WORK Relocation of On-Street and Underground Utilities

ATTENTION RESIDENTS AND BUSINESS OWNERS

As part of the construction of Phase 2 of the Expo Light Rail Line, work crews will continue the relocation of various existing on-street and underground utilities currently located along Sepulveda Boulevard in the City of Los Angeles. The work is being managed and performed by the Expo Phase 2 design-build contractor Skanska-Rados Joint Venture (SRJV), and its subcontractors. What: Where: Relocation of On-Street and Underground Utilities Construction activities will take place on Sepulveda Boulevard from Pico Boulevard to Exposition Boulevard

Work Hours and Duration: Location Sepulveda Boulevard, both north and south of the Sepulveda/Exposition intersection Intersection of Sepulveda and Exposition Boulevards Sepulveda Boulevard, between Pico Boulevard and just north of the Expo ROW Work Hours 9:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m., Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m., Saturday & Sunday 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m., Saturday & Sunday 9:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m., Sunday - Thursday Duration Work will continue through December 28, 2012 Weekend work will continue through December 30, 2012 December 17, 2012 - February 15, 2013

Work Description: Construction activities will include removing and relocating existing on-street and underground utilities at various points along Sepulveda Boulevard. Major work activities will include setting and removing of traffic control devices, saw-cutting and removal of concrete and asphalt, excavation of soil, installation of shoring, vaults and new utilities, and backfill, concrete and asphalt replacement. Traffic Impacts: Sepulveda Boulevard will be intermittently reduced to one lane of traffic in each direction throughout the construction zone. For the intersection work, Sepulveda Boulevard will be reduced to one lane of traffic in each direction. Exposition Boulevard will be closed to all through traffic and traffic will be detoured to either northbound or southbound Sepulveda Boulevard. Parking restrictions on Sepulveda Boulevard will be strictly enforced at all times and signage with specific restrictions will be in place in all construction areas. Electronic message boards, directional signage and/or flaggers will be used to maintain traffic flow and safely direct vehicles and pedestrians around the construction zone. Advisories:

Local access to businesses and residences will be maintained throughout all construction activities. Noise levels will be monitored to ensure work performed is within the necessary compliance levels. Please obey all posted construction signs and do not enter the construction work zone.

Como parte de la construccin de la Fase 2 de la Lnea de Tren Ligero Expo, las cuadrillas de obreros reubicarn varios servicios subterrneos y de superficie que actualmente se encuentran ubicados a lo largo de Sepulveda Boulevard en la ciudad de Los Angeles. Descripcin del Trabajo: Las actividades de construccin incluirn la remocin y reubicacin de los servicios subterrneos y de superficie existentes en diferentes puntos a lo largo de Sepulveda Boulevard. Las principales actividades incluirn la instalacin y remocin de dispositivos de control de trnsito, la remocin del asfalto y hormign, la excavacin del suelo, la instalacin de apuntalamientos, bvedas y servicios nuevos, y el relleno y restauracin del asfalto. Impactos de Trfico: Sepulveda Boulevard sera reducida intermitentemente a un solo carril de trnsito en cada sentido a lo largo de la zona de construccin. Para las actividades de construccin en la interseccin, Sepulveda Boulevard quedar reducido a un solo carril de trnsito en cada sentido. Exposition Boulevard estar cerrado a todo el trnsito que cruza y el trnsito ser desviado hacia el norte o hacia el sur por Sepulveda Boulevard. Se aplicarn restricciones de estacionamiento sobre Sepulveda Boulevard en forma estricta en todo momento y habr sealizacin con restricciones especficas en todas las reas de construccin. Se utilizarn tableros electrnicos de mensajes, sealizacin direccional y/o directores de trfico para dirigir a los vehculos y peatones con seguridad en la zona de construccin. Avisos:

Se mantendr el acceso a todos los comercios y residencias durante todas las actividades de construccin. Se controlarn los niveles del ruido para asegurar que el trabajo realizado se mantenga dentro de los niveles de conformidad necesarios. Por favor no entre a la zona de construccin y obedezca todos los carteles fijados. (Los horarios de construccin estn sujetos a cambios por diversas razones, incluyendo pero sin limitarse a: condiciones climticas,
emergencias imprevistas y otras causas naturales.)
