1: Blood, Sweat and Tears

"Ahem, first I'd like to offer you this wonderful pina colada" Grimmy, we know what's in that drink, save it for the senile! "Darn.. well, it is appropriate that I am the cover of this chapter, I mean I really don't get enough credit around here, it's not as easy as you think to convince all of those old fogies that they should stay in the world beyond at night, there's only so many hula girls." Grimmy... this is not what we had talked about... "Alright, alright, this chapter nearly brought the end to the Hinckleys, and I only had two roles in it, the brilliant Layla had more to do with it than me." Hey hold on, let me explain, I saved while someone was talking on a cell phone and then exited, all fine and dandy, at least that's what I thought, but no, the game glitches so that the lot won't even load if you do said discretion. Luckily with the help of Bitsy at boolprop.com I solved the problem. Moral of the story boys and girls: Do not save while a sim is talking on a cell phone and then exit your lot!

If you're wondering who's hosting this chapter that would be Audrey and Christian's large brood, who if I hadn't of fixed my main legacy lot would've taken over the legacy for me. But luckily they got to continue the easy life.

Back in the Legacy house Amelie and Peter continued to be a very cute newlywed couple. Also a very fertile, newlywed couple.

And here is the main reason I put off playing this chapter, I really didn't want to see Madison, the generation 2 heiress, pass away. I knew she was only a day away from death once I loaded up the main house again.

But all good things must come to an end. I hate seeing my sims all sad... it gets me all choked up inside.

Goodbye dear Madison Hinckley, you will be missed. Madison was one of my most successful sims ever, during her lifetime she attended college at Sim State University, started the Greek House Urele Var, she graduated with a 4.0 and went on to pursue a career as a chef. Madison achieved three life time wants, her first to be a celebrity chef while she was an adult, she became SimCity's Mayor just like her father Jace in her elder years, and then made 20 best friends after that. Madison was very popular with the crew in Pleasantview, she gained the impossible want of 30 best friends while still maintaining a healthy home life. Madison ran two Top 10 business, the Hinckley Bakery, and the Shop around the Corner. In total she started 4 businesses. Madison earned all 25 business rewards, all 7 golden skill badges and maxed many of her other skills. Cheers Madison on a very fruitful life!

Life moves on and while I'm sad, I'm eager to continue! Our current heiress Amelie enjoys a good play through the sprinkler. Every time someone plays in this sprinkler, I'll remember Madison who made it. "You're ruining the mood Layla! Let me enjoy my octopus alright?" Fine, I never let you indulge in your romance ways, so I guess I can let you go ahead and do something you would've liked to do before you became a romance sim. "You're just TOO kind" I know sarcasm when I hear it! "Yipe!"

Soon Amelie is showing, and the promise of new life cheers up the whole household. "Layla, quit thinking about my Grandma already, I am the heiress you know!"

This painting gets me into trouble later, you'll see. Why I had the pregnant sim paint it? Who knows.

Amelie and Peter have taken over the downstairs bedroom since Amelie began to show, it's just been easier for the pregnant one's mood being able to stay on just one floor of the house. "Amelie, I think I heard a kick, are you sure all of the woohoo you want has been okay on our baby?" "Yup, now hop into bed!"

More than just pictures were taken in there mind you, don't forget Amelie is a romance sim, a highly devoted one, but still a romance gal. And just so you all know, having a picture booth on your sims home lot and then they woohoo in it does count as a public woohoo :) No, I don't cheat, I'm just clever hehe

Hey, if woohoo can induce labor in real life, who says it doesn't in sim life?

Meet Leah Hinckley, generation 5's first child into the main legacy home. Leah has red hair like both of her parents and brown eyes like her mother.

Gavin is very excited to meet the his grand-daughter, I see excessive spoiling in Leah's future.

Great-Grandpa George has been a shadow lurking around ever since Madison's death, he seems to have broken free from his shell for long enough to meet his Great Grand-daughter Leah though.

Here is George reaching his second life time want of earning $100,000, way to go George!

I don't remember if I had elaborated before or not that Peter's life time want is to become SimCity's General, but I finally started making George useful around the house again. Unlike Jace before him, George is staying faithful to his wife until the very end of time.

And then I actually started to get attached to Big Nose, imagine that. "Peter, we, the former NPCs of the Simworld need to stick together, we should not have to suffer from nicknames and no personalities even though we sleep a lot." Shush Big Nose, don't plant ideas in Peter's brain. "Peter, we will continue this in secret later..." I heard you, you know that right?

At this point Joanne was completely left to herself when her hunger bar was full. I can't lie, Joanne is a great Grandmother... stupid nose... grrr. At this point she was probably at 78 grilled cheese sandwiches... why is this LTW soooo hard?? "Mmm, your eyebrows look like thin slices of cheddar cheese my little one" Can someone come take Leah away from Joanne... she's starting to scare me...

Meet the strings attached. "Hey, show a little compassion here, you don't know what it's like being pregnant!" And it's going to stay that way until I'm married, you on the other hand are married, and have already been through this once. "It still is not pleasant" Give me a break, three days is not that long. Whiner.

And then, only 4 days after Madison's death, when George finally seems to be getting on with his life. Grimmy decides to show up again..

Only Peter was there when George died, I hope those two didn't end up plotting against me.

Poor Leah was in her Great Grandpa's arms when Grimmy decided to show. Poor kid, I hope she's not scarred for life. Although this does remind me of a song by Blood, Sweat and Tears... "And when I die, and when I'm gone There'll be, one child born In this world, To carry on, to carry on..."

And now George goes to join other Hinckleys of chapters past in the mausoleum. George McCarthy was a good husband and father, although I usually caught him sleeping through important events, I was still a bit hard on him. George loved Madison with all of his heart, he was dedicated to making money as well, and lots of it. He achieved three life time wants, his first to became a hall of famer, second to become chief of staff and his third of making $100,000. George, yes, I will miss you, but I have a feeling the nose you left to this family will be around for a long time to come... thanks Big Nose!

Life again moves on, and it's time for little Leah's birthday.

It was an intimate thing with only the immediate family there.

Amelie, what is it now?

Well, it appears Amelie and Peter are expecting again.

"What goes up Must come down Spinning wheel Got to go 'round"

Okay, I think I'm done with the songs now... Leah doesn't seem to look like Hinckleys of chapters past...

I think Joanne should've been a family sim... but what do I know? "Amelie, *snicker snicker* um... I think I hear..." "Mom, you know what I hear, the cheese calling you." "Oh cheddar haired daughter, I believe you are right."

Gavin, I know I haven't given you any chapter time yet, but you just go to work, come home from work, sell masterpieces and talk on the phone.. sorry if it upset you. "I miss my Daddy!!!" Oh... let me give you some alone time.

Apparently the whole family is taking Big Nose's death pretty hard.

In other news, here's a newly made over Leah, she's such a sweetheart. Only time will tell if she has *the* Hinckley nose.

Madison! How nice to see you. Yes, I moved your urn, I'm sure you'll get over it.

"Dadda" Leah is a remarkably fast learner, with a soft spot for her daddy.

And her Grandpa Gavin.

"You make me sooo, so very happy You make me sooo, so very happy baby, I'm so glad you came, into my life!" Okay, seriously guys, what's up with the Blood Sweat and Tears obsession?

Remember when I said I saw Leah's future full of being spoiled? Well, this little girl barely has anytime with her rabbit head. But she really doesn't need it, you should see how fast this kid skills, it's incredible!

And this is where this picture gives me trouble. Although it looks quite nice how it is, I would like it finished for the mausoleum. But now that George is dead, the painting can't be finished. Has anyone else had this happen before? No? I'm too much of procrastinator? Well the next slide shows my perfectionist side coming out as well.

Yes, I resurrected George so that Amelie could paint a completed portrait of him for the mausoleum. I spent the full amount to get George resurrected since I didn't want to feel too guilty for doing it...

And here is George again in his urn with his new painting above it... yes, I kind of cheated to get him dead again... hey, I didn't want him hanging around the house for all of his elder years again. Do you really blame me?

And here is the remarkable Amelie, who doesn't yet have a fear of having a baby. I think she still has some secret Pleasure sim personality in there because she doesn't completely go all the way with the romance personality, but I'm not complaining!

"Mr. Wabbit, I wub you" "Yes Leah, you will do as I say. All will bow down to Mr. Rabbit" "*giggle giggle* Mr. Wabbit you are funny"

Okay, okay, you caught me... she's sooo cute I couldn't help to take so many pictures of her.

Birthing Cycle 2 commences.

"Hey Mom, can you hold him for a second" ... yes... this is the pass off... no I didn't use cheesecake *smacks forehead*

The little girl in Amelie's arms is Lacey with blonde hair and her father's dark blue eyes. And the little boy in Joanne's arms is Luke, with red hair and brown eyes.

And after countless platters of grilled cheese Joanne maxes out her cooking skills.

And now for the first glimpse of the Hinckley's future. It's Leah's birthday again!

And just like any other toddler, she reaches for the flames, but looks gosh darn cute doing it!

I love catching them mid transition and imagining this is how they would look at 3 years old maybe.. hehe

And here she is... with a very different nose.

Okay, I think I might just be missing Madison a little bit too much, but this reminds me of her childhood birthday when she immediately went to bed after blowing out her candles... Madison.. I miss you... :(

What is this? Could it be? Amelie, I thought you were Romance sim... not a family sim..

You want to see Leah doing ordinary childhood acts while looking adorable instead of Amelie and Peter's romancing? Well, here you go, she just started Logic today and already has 6 skill points in it. "Layla, you mustnt brag about my genius too much." Okay, sorry for speaking up, won't do it again. "I didn't mean to stop completely... *bashful smile*"

And now it's time for the twins birthday. It's Lacey's turn first.

I spy with my little eye *the* Hinckley nose... hmmm, I wonder if it's linked to the blonde hair somehow, because George was the main ingredient for *the nose* and he had blonde hair... *ponders*

The next morning Luke gets to grow up.

And yes, Amelie and Peter are expecting again. Has anyone ever told them what popularity and romance sims usually do? Ah well, they're cute like this too.

So we meet again Big Nose. Yes, I kept your bed, it's the same one that Cheyenne and Jace complain about being gone, can you pass it on to them now that it's really still here? That'd be great, thanks.

Just because she's older doesn't mean she isn't spoiled anymore.

Oooh, a double haunting tonight. George keep your eyes on Jace, he makes me nervous sometimes.

"Freaking grilled cheese... that's all she ever makes. I think it has some fertility drug in it or something...." No, you're the reason you get pregnant all the time Amelie, sorry to tell you that. Yes, we're still working desperately on reaching Joanne's lifetime want, and we have to keep her platinum daily *sigh* Why did I ever switch her.

Amelie... what are you doing? "Oooooh, you got to Let your body move to the music Oooooh, you've got to Let your body go to the flow Oooooh, you've got to Vogue vogue vogue." Right...

"Do the mashed potato, Do the mashed potato! Do the twist, Do the twist! Now tell me baby Tell me baby! Do you like it like this? Do you like it like this?! Tell me... Tell me... Tell me!"

And what song does this go to? "The roof, the roof, the roof is on fire" Riiiight. I'll be walking away slowly now... "I can't believe you even asked her what she was doing Layla" Good point Leah.

And it's Leah's first day of school, and I've decided she should be more cheery for it in a orange dress rather than a punk fairy look.

Go ahead, get on hun.

And since I had such a problem with George's picture, I've started much earlier on getting Gavin and Joanne's pictures done for the mausoleum. "If you ask me, that's kind of morbid" I didn't ask you. "Right"

Yes, she's still a Daddy's girl.

"Please don't wake me, No don't shake me, Leave me where I am, I'm only sleeping..."

"I was dream talking to you to not wake me up!" Hey, don't blame me, blame the belly. And now it's time for part 1 to come to a close. I'll leave you with these pressing questions!
