We read books about the 100th Day of School this week. We read The Night Before the 100th Day of School, The 100th Day of School, Miss Bindergarten Celebrates the 100th Day of Kindergarten, 100th Day Worries, 100 Days of School, From One to One Hundred, One Hundred Hungry Ants and One Hundred is a Family. We learned a few chants as well, 100 Stars and 100 is a lot.

We had a great time at the Auburn High School Aquatics Lab on Friday. The children saw many aquatic animals and learned a lot! Ask your child what his/her favorite thing was!

Theme
We continued working on our fact pages and jellyfish this week! The children have been working hard and writing wonderful information. We will begin learning about a new animal next week!

100th Day of School

We did several activities for the 100th day of school. We had rotations on Wednesday with the other classes in the Yellow Pod. The children found 100 Hershey kisses, made fruit loop necklaces, made a trail mix with 100 items, made 100 crowns, drew a picture of what they thought they would look like when the turned 100 and created a picture of out the number 100. The children really enjoyed going to each classroom in the Yellow Pod and completing an activity. We wrote about the 100th Day Rotations in our journal on Thursday.

Valentines Day
We will be having a Valentines Party on Thursday February 14th. You should have received information last week in your childs folder about decorating a Valentines box with your child. Your child needs to bring a Valentine for each student in our class. Please let your child write as many as possible. Here is a list of students in our class:
