Youngs Class Shared Reading


Our focus for Shared Reading this week was Apples. We read the books How Do Apples Grow, Picking Apples, Amazing Apples, Life Cycle of an Apple, Apples, Apples, Apples, Johnny Appleseed, and Apple Harvest. We sequenced the growth of apples, labeled the parts of an apple, and even tasted apples. We completed a graph: Which apple did you like best? And also did an Apple Jacks math graph.

The Trike Ride was a success! The children ALL did an excellent job!!!!

Theme
This week, we learned about oceanographers. We discussed what they do and their equipment. We labeled an oceanographer and began constructing our equipment to become oceanographers.

AEEC will be participating in the Beat Bama Food Drive. It will take place October 22-26, 2012. Please help by donating you non-perishable food items into the AEEC food box located in yellow pod.
