Shared Reading
Our focus for Shared Reading this week was Pumpkins. We read the books Perfect Pumpkins, The Pumpkin Book, Pattys Pumpkin Patch, Dates to Remember Apples and Pumpkins, The Bumpy Little October 29: Life South Blood Drive Pumpkin, Pumpkin, Pumpkin, Pumpkin Soup, November 2: Tailgate Day The Runaway Pumpkin, and A Day at the Pumpkin Patch. We measured our class pumpkin, sequenced the growth of pumpkins, labeled the parts of a pumpkin, and even tasted pumpkin seeds after guessing how many were in our pumpkin. We completed a Venn diagram comparing and contrasting apples and pumpkins.

Theme
This week, we discussed an oceanographer. We continued to label an oceanographer and worked on equipment that we need to become an oceanographer.

We will have Tailgate Day at AEEC on Friday, November 2. The children will be rotating to different stations throughout the day. Children are to wear their General Information favorite team jerseys, hats, Monday, November 19 will be a make-up day cheerleader outfits etc. We will for school pictures. Any child that was absent on also have a pep rally. We will Picture Day (Sept. 21) will be able to have also be eating a tailgate lunch. his/her picture made on November 19.
