Religion: We are learning more about the story of

creation. We sang a song thanking God for the gift
of creation. We are working on our prayer manners
each day.
Reading: This week we are working with the
ending sounds ng and le. We read a great story
in our reader. We wrote in our October journals.
Math: We are writing and reading addition and
subtraction sentences. We practiced solving word
problems using pictures. We practiced subtraction
facts up to 10.
Science: We reviewed the parts of a plant. We
used magnifying glasses to look closely at seeds.
We sorted the seeds into groups by size, color, or
shapes. We placed a stalk of celery in red water to
see how water travels through the stem to the
leaves of the plant.
