- Location: Homs, Syria. - Post: Snr. Plant Inspection Engineer. - Duties and Responsible as follows: - Perform inspection plan of 4Nos. (6.6 m ID X 31.4 m overall length) delayed coking drums (unit -11). The unit was erected in 1965 at HRC; Syria. The design capacity of the unit is (3000t/d) or (125t/h) from the residuum atmospheric distillation. - This was the first site intrusive inspection of these 4 delayed coking drums since 1976. - Intrusive inspection performed forthe delayed coke drums at the HOMS Refinery site during the period October 16th to November 16th, 2009. - Prepare short and long termrepair package and proceduresfor fatigue cracking originates atshell to skirt girth weld. - Supervise the advanced technique ofLaser and Video Scan done by CIA Inspection Inc. of Stainless Steel internal cladding of coking drumsto detect bulging and determines its length, depth and width. This advanced technique detects the location of internal cracking and cladding damage. It also provides a baseline scan of the vessels for future comparison.
