Paksiw na Pata Recipe

Ingredients

2 lbs Pork leg (pata), sliced crosswise 1 tsp garlic, crushed cup soy sauce 3 tbsp vinegar cup brown sugar 1 pack dried banana blossoms (about 100 grams), soaked in water 5 pieces dried bay leaves 1 tbsp whole pepper corn Salt to taste

Paksiw na Pata Cooking Procedure:


1. Pour the water in a pot and bring to a boil 2. Add the whole pepper corn and dried bay leaves 3. Put-in the soy sauce and garlic then wait for the mixture to boil again 4. Put-in the sliced pork leg and simmer for 1 to 1.5 hours (or cook in pressure cooker for 30 minutes) 5. Add the vinegar and simmer for 10 minutes 6. Place the banana blossoms in and simmer for 5 to 7 minutes 7. Add the brown sugar and salt and simmer for 2 minutes
