STAGE 1 DESIRED RESULTS Unit Title: Pinterest: For Teachers Established Goals: 1. Facilitate and Inspire Student Learning and Creativity Teachers use their knowledge of subject matter, teaching and learning, and technology to facilitate experiences that advance student learning, creativity, and innovation in both face-to-face and virtual environments. 2. Design and Develop Digital Age Learning Experiences and Assessments Teachers design, develop, and evaluate authentic learning experiences and assessment incorporating contemporary tools and resources to maximize content learning in context and to develop the knowledge, skills, and attitudes identified in the NETSS. 3. Model Digital Age Work and Learning Teachers exhibit knowledge, skills, and work processes representative of an innovative professional in a global and digital society. 4. Promote and Model Digital Citizenship and Responsibility Teachers understand local and global societal issues and responsibilities in an evolving digital culture and exhibit legal and ethical behavior in their professional practices. 5. What is Pinterst? How can I use Pinterest in the classroom? How can I use Pinterest in my Personal Professional Development or as my PLN.

STAGE 2 ASSESSMENT EVIDENCE

Teachers will be able to: Set up their own Pinterest account and log in. Teachers will be able to create boards Teachers will be able to follow other boards and pinners Teachers will fill out an online feedback form and participate in related forums
STAGE 3 LEARNING PLAN Summary of Learning Activities:

Teachers will be asked if they would like to have an easier way to find and organize ideas for their classrooms. Teachers will be introduced to the website Pinterest through a Power Point that has my online course embedded into it. Teachers will be able to follow along with me as we go through the basics of setting up an account, creating boards and pins and following users. This interaction will allow teachers to get any necessary help during the class. If the class takes up more time than allotted teachers can go to the online course and finish the steps that they missed. They will also be informed of the Forums located within the course that will allow them to post any related information or tips.
