Robert M. Woznicki MD has recently been named Medical Director of the Community Clinic of 
Jefferson County (CCJC), an affiliate of the Children’s
Home of Jefferson County. He is responsible for thecoordination and oversight of all medical care provided at CCJC and for the quality of services rendered.Since 2007, Dr. Woznicki has been involved in the PROS Program where he supervised nurse practitioners for120 chronically, severely mentally ill patients, many with developmental difficulties including mental retardationand autistic-spectrum disorders.Most recently, Dr. Woznicki ran a private practice in Long Island, New York, which he operated since 1993. Whilerunning this practice, he also was an attending physician at several hospitals including Eastern Long IslandHospital; J.T. Mather Memorial Hospital and St. Charles Hospital; Port Jefferson, New York; and Stepping StonesEast Continuing Day Treatment Program, an inpatient program for the severely mentally ill. As a consultant, Dr.Woznicki has worked at the Central Suffolk Hospital, Central Suffolk Nursing Home, and Riverhead NursingHome, all located in Riverhead, New York.Dr. Woznicki received his medical doctorate from Jagiellonian University, Nicholas Copernicus Academy of Medicine in Krakow, Poland, in 1985. He then relocated to the United States where he completed a psychiatryresidency at the State University of New York at Stony Brook from 1985 to 1989. He immediately joined apsychomatic medicine fellowship program at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School inBoston, Massachusetts, completing in 1990. Dr. Woznicki is board certified and licensed in New York State.Following completion of his fellowship program, Dr. Woznicki accepted a position with the State University of New York at Stony Brook as an assistant professor where he remained till 1993. He was also the director of psychiatric consultation/liaison fellowship as well as the acting director of psychiatric consultation/liaisonservice.MORE
