Agriculture Everywhere!

Agriculture is more than just farming! Simply put, agriculture is the production of food, feed, fiber, and other goods by the systematic growing and harvesting of plants and animals. Agriculture can be considered a series of interconnected parts from the farmer, processor, wholesalers, retailers, and consumers! There are 5 Fs of agriculture: Farming Food Fabric Forestry Flowers

Throughout this exploratory unit your children will be discovering that agriculture is more than just growing plants and herding cows. We will be focusing on the 5 Fs of agriculture and the different processes that the products go through! They will be introduced to the concept of supply and demand as well By the end of the unit, they will realize that they are an important part of the agriculture world!

What Will Your Children Be Doing?


Your children will be involved in many many hands on activities that will challenge and excite them. They will have the opportunity to: Plant rice and flowers Visit a local grocery store Make agriculture collages Make and participate in an agriculture play Make butter, and lots more fun activities! Be looking for permission slips and other forms to be mailed out!
