FUMC offers sympathy to the family of Bonnie McCollum. Bonnie died Sunday, June 2nd. How healthy is our freedom? Our attitude toward the poor is still one of the surest tests of the health of our freedom. The moment freedom is used to avoid acts of mercy or help or compassion, it is exposed as a fraud. A free person who finds ways to enhance the lives of the poor demonstrates the truest and most mature freedom. We are not free to dismiss poor people from our awareness, to turn a deaf ear to voices that ask for help, to harbor even the slightest contempt for the failures and rejects in our society. Eugene H. Meals on Wheels

Encounter Worship & Word has changed times for the summer!! We will start this Wednesday night @ 5:30 pm.
Encounter will be hanging out THIS FRIDAY! We will be going to First Friday in Downtown Florence and McFarland Park! Your student will need money for food and Miami Ice once we get to McFarland. We will be leaving the church at 5:30pm. Stock Sale will be this Sunday, June 9th! Students will be calling you between 4:30 pm and 6:00 pm! Stocks will be $10 a share and you can buy as many shares as you would like. When we return from our Mission trip all the Share Holders will be invited to an Ice Cream Social to hear what happened on this mission trip. All Students that will be going on the trip are asked to meet in the new conference room at 4:00 pm. The next Payment for the USMP Mission Trip of $100 is due June 19th.
