Summer Fun at Vacation Bible School

Bob Dempsey | Church Growth and Development

Vacation Bible School Schedule | July 2013

Pintlala July 7-10 July 15-19 July 14-18 July 22-26 5:30 PM - 7:45 PM 8:30 AM - Noon 5:45 PM - 8:30 PM 6 PM - 8:30 PM

A number of MBA churches began the summer by hosting Vacation Bible Schools. The majority utilized LifeWays curriculum, Colossal Coaster World. This years theme is based on 2 Timothy 1:7, For God has not given us a spirit of fearfulness, but one of power, love, and sound judgment. These Scriptural truths challenge children to face their fears and trust God on the roller coaster of life. Churches employ VBS to teach unchurched children of Gods great and unconditional love for them. Vacation Bible School is still the most effective evangelistic activity Southern Baptists have to share the message of Christ. The preliminary news indicates a great start and reinforces the fact that churches can indeed have significant spiritual impact on families in their communities. Below are pictures from some of the VBSS held the week of June 2-7. We encourage churches to email pictures to the MBA Office (jgwin@mgmbaptist.org) so we can highlight what God is doing among our MBA churches this summer.
