A guide for ISAT

About ISAT
Indian Institute of Space Science and

Technology(IIST) is conducting ISAT Exam 2013 for the under graduate programs in B.Tech offered by the institute. The B.Tech program is further offered in Avionics, Aerospace engineering and physical sciences. There are total 156 seats for the under graduate programs where aerospace engineering and avionics offer 60 seats and remaining 36 are given to physical sciences. Reservation of seats in ISAT 2013 Entrance Exam will be governed by the Govt. of India Rules for Central Educational Institutions (CEI). The official website of the exam is www.iist.ac.in/isat2013, where the candidates have to REGISTER ONLINE. For more information click here

General Eligibility
The candidate should be Indian. Date of birth for

general and OBC candidates should lie on or after 1st oct ,1987 and for SC/ST/PD candidates on or after 1st oct,1982. Minimum percentage required in class 10th and 10+2 by GEN/OBC is 70% in physics, chemistry, mathematics and for SC/ST/PD candidates is 60%.

Qualifying Exam
The Qualifying Exam ISAT 2013 Eligibility Criteria

defines the aggregate percentage a candidate should have in order to be eligible for ISAT 2013. The Aggregate Percentage as per ISAT 2013 Eligibility Criteria for the General and OBC candidates is at least 70% in Chemistry, mathematics and Physics (PCM) and 60% for the SC/ST/PD candidates in PCM in Qualifying Exam. Only the candidates who have scored the

Requisite Percentage in the Qualifying Exam in 2012 or 2013 will be eligible. However, if the candidates have appeared for the QE in 2013, they should submit the proof of passing the exam with the required percentage to be eligible for ISAT 2013 under ISAT 2013 Eligibility Criteria. The last date of submission of this PROOF will be around the first week of July, 2013. A list has been given in the Information Brochure of ISAT 2013 which has the names of various Qualifying Exams which will be considered for the ISAT 2013 Eligibility Criteria. About ISAT

Marking System
Each correct answer shall fetch four marks
Each incorrect answer will lead to deduction of

one mark. Each unanswered question will fetch zero.

Note: If more than one circle is darkened for one question, it will be treated as an incorrect answer and one mark will be deducted.
