Copper-plate Monograph Series William Pain, Architect, Joiner

Reproductions of Tuscan, Dorick, Ionic, Corinthian, and Compofite Orders Note from the author of this document
Included with this PDF file are 10 pages that have been preserved from the original copper-plate carvings of William Pain published in London in 1762. These images are copyrighted by the original producer of the reproduction that was available around the year 1987 when the project I was working on was referencing this material. Since this material was hard to obtain, and we were in the process of duplicating this work of William Pain, we made copies of several areas from the book, of which seems now practically unobtainable. Of particular interest at the time in 1987, the stairway drawings were of most concern, but we also just happen to make copies of the orders also, and these were stuck in a plastic slip inside a folder and stuck on a shelf for 20 years. It was decided that these needed pulling out and scanning for this document to safeguard their existence in a newer format. This document may not be sold. The last page includes a photo of the stairway that was duplicated. R. Mark Sink woodhowto.com
