Questions: 1) Are your hands dirty? 2) Did you wash your hand after you eat during recess? 3) Did you wash your hand before you eat at the canteen Moral values: Remember, we must always wash our hand before and after we eat, after we went to the toilet and after we play at the field.

1) The teacher asks the pupils to put their hands on the desk. 2) The teacher asks the pupils to take a look at their hands, fingers and nails to see whether it is clean or not.

1) Moral values are integrated after the questioning session. 2) Teacher will asks the pupils what are the other times that they need to wash their hands during moral values session

3) Then the teacher walks around the class to check the pupils hand. 4) After that the teacher will tell them what they are going to do for that session.

1) The teacher asks the pupils to open their textbook page 33. 2) Then, the teacher will talk about the pictures on page 33 with the pupils.

This step is done to arouse the curiosity and grab the pupils attention towards the topic.

1) The teacher will teach the pupils to read the song. First word by word, then lines by lines and after that verse by verse and the pupils will repeat after the teacher. 2) Then the teacher will ask the pupils, in group to read the song. 3) After that, the teacher will ask the class to sing the song with the rhythm and the rhymes.

The teacher will correct their pronunciation during these steps.

Postlistening and speaking Refer to the steps in Year 1 English textbook page 34

1) The teacher will show a set of picture cards containing the steps on how to wash the hand properly.

The teacher will show the action of certain verbs such as wash, scrub and dry.

2) By referring to the textbook on page 34 and with the help of the picture cards, the teacher explains the way to wash hands properly.

3) Then, the teacher asks the pupils to say the steps again with the aid of the pictures.
