Teacher Instructions: Select books and poems about Thanksgiving for the students to read. Have the students create a pilgrims hat out of construction paper. Students wear their hats while they read the teacher selected stories.

Help the pioneers harvest their crops of nonsense words before the first snowfall. Plant your crops. Plant them in the same order: pumpkin, corn, and onion. How fast can you harvest your group? Pick up each plant and say the letter sound.
