Next Village Board meeting is Sept.11th, 2013 @ Village/ Fire Hall @7PM. ************************ OPEN Your Heart Russell Booth will be collecting for the Alzheimers this month.
Please help him in his cause. ++++++++++++++++++ Barb and Michaela Lamont are working towards the JDRF Walk to Cure TID (Type 1 Diabetes) The walk is Sunday, September 15th in Thompson Park, Watertown. They welcome any walkers to join them. They will also be selling paper sneakers for a donation at the Village Market. 5K Walk = Check in at 9AM and start time is 10AM. Town Board Moments 1. Citizen Concerns a. Town Assessor, Cindy Shaw, addressed the board asking for reappointment for another six year term. A general discussion with questions and concerns followed. All the board members were in agreement to reappoint Mrs. Shaw. 2. Communications: a. Mr. Shaw addressed the board with correspondence from the HCC containing risk control recommendations. : Several have been in progress to fix and a motion was made and carried to sell some town property with an ad in the paper. Oxbow park playground will be having old equipment taken down for safety reasons. The highway department will take care of this. 3. The new cemetery fence has been installed. 4. A motion was made and carried to have Mr. Shaw purchase the paint for the flag pole at the library.

Next Town Board meeting will be on Sept. 9th, 2013 @ Town Hall @ 7PM. Village Board Moments
1.Citizen Concerns a. Resident feels that we should close Washington street to large trucks due to the railroad track. Board will look into this. 2. DPW REPORT: They have been working on the sidewalk on Main St. 3. SEWER PROJECT: The pre-construction meeting was held on August 7 at which time the notice to proceed was issued to Continental Construction and Patricia Electric. 4. The Village has received a notice of violations at the Village Hall from the Dept. of Labor, these issues are being addressed. 5. The Board had made a motion and carried to accept the fire department application of Fredric Letson pending the standard background check. 6. The board motioned and carried to make Jonathan Walker the Officer in Charge and change his rate of pay to $14.00 per hour.

The hours are from 11 am until 3 pm. They would like people to come out to congratulate them and bring only their memories, stories or photos of the couple. Their presence will be the gift to them.
