Relevant Experience

Mr. Rempel has more than 14 years of photogrammetric mapping and LiDAR production
experience, including a statewide program for North Carolina to develop a uniform, LiDAR-
based elevation model to modernize the State’s flood hazard maps. In addition to this major
program, Mr. Rempel has led projects for local government; mobilized teams; and motivated
personnel to complete projects within budget and on schedule.

Mr. Rempel joined EarthData after a successful career with the U.S. Marine Corps. His previous
work experience includes production of imagery and mapping products for use in tactical
operations and intelligence reports.

Directly Relevant Experience

5.5 GIS/Remote Sensing

Mr. Rempel oversaw all aspects of county programs contracted to EarthData NC, from
developing proposals, to developing scopes of work, to determining the use of new technologies,
to contract negotiations, to project planning, to resource allocation and production, to project
wrap-up.

Mr. Rempel oversaw all aspects of statewide programs at EarthData’s NC facility to ensure that
projects were completed on time, within budget, to specification. He regularly contacted project
participants, even after project completion, to ensure client satisfaction. Under his management,
EarthData completed LiDAR data acquisition and processing and developed high-accuracy
DEMs for thirty-three counties for the NC statewide floodplain LiDAR mapping program, with
no rework necessary and an average RMSE of 15.11 cm.
Dana Dunmire Minerva

As director of operations for all projects at the NC office, Mr. Rempel oversaw all aspects of
contract administration, project management, and production. He has been instrumental in
establishing the processes and procedures used to perform LiDAR data processing and product
development.

Mr. Rempel has served in production and management positions for transportation/highway
projects ranging in map scale from 1”=20’ to 1”=50’ with 1’-2’ contours and high vertical
accuracy for clients who include U.S. Department of Transportation, Michigan Department of
Transportation, North Carolina Department of Transportation, South Carolina Department of
Transportation, and the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission.
