3 million APIA out of 12 million has registered to vote, according to research done by APIAVote.
Asian American voter registration rates are the lowest among the white, black and Hispanic groups. Midwest, of which
Ohio is a part of, has the lowest Asian voter registration rates among the west, northeast and south regions.

Democracy is not a given right. You must work for it. You must vote for the candidates who work for your rights and
benefits. If they do not meet your wishes, vote them out.

In order to vote, You must register to vote. You may register to vote if you are:
* U.S. Citizen, and
* 18 years old on or before Election Day.

Register early for upcoming elections:
You must be registered by October 6, 2008 to be eligible to vote in the November 4th General Election.
Vote Absentee
No time or away? No problem. Vote Absentee. Absentee ballots for the November 4 General Election will be available on
October 2, 2008. There is no longer a requirement to state a reason to vote absentee.
Where and how do you register?

* At any county Board of Elections or the Secretary of State's office.
* At any public high school or vocational school or college.
* At the offices of designated agencies which provide public assistance or disability programs.
* Public libraries.
* County Treasurer's office.
* By mail.
