THE SCENE SWITCHES AND WE FOLLOW A SWEATTY BRAM RUNNING LIKE


THE DEVIL IS CHASING HIM. HE RUNS JUST INSIDE THE TREELINE,

ANGUISHED SOUNDS COME FROM FURTHER IN, HE DRAWS HIS GUN AND

THEM BOTH, LOOKING ON WITH COMPASSION AND INTEREST.

BERNARD’S VOICE: (OFFSCREEN, EXCITED) WE GOT US A DOCTOR!

WE PAN FROM THESE PEOPLE, TO OUR LEFT, WE SEE BERNARD ENTER


THE SCREEN, THEN ROSE AND FINALLY JULIET WALKS UP, HER EYES
BECOME FIXED AT SOMETHING OFFSCREEN. A CLOSE-UP OF JULIET,
SHE'S STARING INTENSELY. A CUT TO CHARLES WIDMORE, IT’S
APPARENT THIS IS WHO HAS LOCKED EYES WITH HER. INTENSE
STARING FOR A MOMENT, FINALLY BERNARD SPEAKS.

THE FLOOR OF THIS ROOM. THE MUSIC PICKS UP. HE RESTS HIS
HANDS ON HIS LAP AND FEELS THE STONE IN HIS POCKET. HE WORKS
IT OUT, PICKS IT UP IN HIS HANDS AND STARES AT IT. THE CAMERA
ZOOMS IN ON IT, TURNING INTO PITCH BLACK. WHICH GIVES WAY TO
MORE BLACKNESS, ZOOMING OUT, SUDDENLY WE ARE IN A ROOM WITH
HURLEY. IT’S NOW CLEAR THIS IS A VINTAGE GIACCHINO MUSICAL
MONTAGE. HURLEY LAYS ON HIS SIDE IN A BED, IN HIS DARK ROOM.
A LOOK OF SADNESS ON HIS FACE, HE LOOKS UP TO THE SINGLE
TORCH LIGHTING HIS ROOM, WE ZOOM IN ON THE FIRE. AS WE PULL
BACK OUT, WE ARE NOW IN ANOTHER, SIMILAR ROOM (CONT.)

(CONT.) STILL CENTERED ON A FIREY TORCH, WE PAN BACK TO SEE
SUN KWON, LAYING DOWN, TRULY SOBBING. WE ZOOM IN ON HER FACE,
THEN INTO HER EYE, SHE BLINKS, AND WE ARE STILL ON AN EYE,
PULLING BACK, WE SEE IT’S JIN. THE MUSIC IS NOW DYING OUT.
JIN STILL LAYING THERE IN THE WHEEL CHAMBER. STRUGGLING TO
DRAG HIMSELF FORWARD. HE HAS INDEED MADE SOME PROGRESS.

WALT’S VOICE: YOU’RE GOING TO HIT THE ICE IN A MOMENT.

JIN LOOKS UP AND GETS TO HIS KNEES AND BEGINS ‘BABY WALKING’
ON HIS KNEES TOWARDS THE WHEEL. AGONZING PAIN WITH EVERY
‘STEP’ WALT STANDS TO THE SIDE WATCHING.

JIN: (AGONIZED, TO WALT) CAN’T YOU HELP ME, PLEASE?

WALT: (CALM) I ALREADY TOLD YOU, JIN, I CAN’T.

JIN IS DISAPPOINTED, BUT HE STRUGGLES FORWARD, HE IS REALLY


COLD, FREEZING ACTUALLY, HIS CHIN MOVING RAPIDLY.

AS JIN GETS TO JUST IN FRONT OF THE WHEEL, HE TURNS TO WALT.

THE CAMERA IS FIXED ON JIN’S FACE, TREMBLING FROM THE COLD


AND THE PAIN, HE OFFERS A LONG, DELIBERATE AFFIRMATIVE NOD.

ACT THREE:

BACK TO THE ‘HELICOPTER’ CAMP, IT’S APPARENT THAT THE TREE


LIMB HAS BEEN REMOVED, AS WE SEE BERNARD WALKING AWAY AND
TOWARDS THE CAMERA WITH IT IN HIS HAND. JULIET STILL STANDS
OVER DESMOND, WHILE MORGAN AND CHARLES TEND TO DESMOND. PENNY
IS VERY NEAR. JULIET THEN GIVES ONE LAST COMMAND.

JULIET: (CALM) JUST GET WHATEVER ALCOHOL YOU CAN GATHER AND
POUR IT IN THE WOUND. CLEAN IT AS BEST YOU CAN. (PAUSE) THEN
SEW HIM UP. YOU’RE NOT GOING TO BE ABLE TO DO MUCH MORE THAN
THAT. KEEPING HIM AWAY FROM INFECTION (A SHOT OF WIDMORE

JULIET THEN BEGINS TO WALK AWAY, PENNY LOOKS SURPRISED AS IF

WE SWITCH SCENES TO THE MIDDLE OF THE ISLAND IN BROAD
DAYLIGHT. WE’RE ASSUMING A P.O.V. FROM THE TREES. WE SEE
THREE ‘OTHERS’ STROLLING ALONG. WE THEN SEE BRAM, IT’S HIS
P.O.V, FRANK KNEELS NEXT TO HIM, BOTH HIDDEN IN THE TREES.

BRAM: I THINK THOSE MIGHT BE RICHARD’S PEOPLE.

FRANK: (EXHAUSTED) HOW THE HELL CAN YOU TELL? THEY ALL LOOK
THE SAME TO ME.

BRAM: (SMILING) I CAN JUST TELL. (SERIOUS) BUT IT’S STILL NOT

AS SOON AS BRAM SAYS THIS, GUNFIRE ERUPTS. TWO OF THESE


‘OTHERS’ WE’VE SEEN ARE GUNNED DOWN INSTANTLY. THE THIRD
FALLS TO A FLAT DEFENSIVE POSITION, FIRING BACK. HE’S THEN
STRUCK BY A BULLET AND LIMPS OVER. SOME ‘TEMPLE GOONS’ (WE
HAVE TO ASSUME) EMERGE FROM THE TREES AND RAID THEIR WEAPONS
AND AMMO. BACK TO BRAM.

BRAM: (LOOKS DOWN TO KNEELING FRANK) SEE WHAT I MEAN?

FRANK: MAN, THIS IS HOPELESS. WE DON’T STAND A DAMN CHANCE.

BRAM: THEY KILLED MY BEST MEN LIKE IT WAS A WALK IN THE PARK.
I COULDN’T BELIEVE IT. I GRABBED THE WOMAN AND STARTED
RUNNING. THEY FIRED AND I THOUGHT SHE WAS HIT, BUT SHE JUST

WATCHING RICHARD AND JACK STROLL ACROSS THE ISLAND, THEY ARE
HEADED TOWARDS THE ORCHID. RICHARD IS A LITTLE WORRIED.

RICHARD: TO BE TOTALLY HONEST JACK, THEY COULD GET US AT ANY


MINUTE. WE’RE JUST OUT HERE IN THE OPEN, IF WE COULD
NEGOTIATE THE SECURITY SYSTEM, IT WOULD BE MUCH SAFER.

JACK: (CURIOUS) HOW WOULD YOU EVEN DO THAT?

RICHARD: YOU CAN USE SONIC CHARGES, BUT THOSE ARE A BIT LIKE

JACK STOPS ‘DEAD’ IN HIS TRACKS. SHOCKED.

JACK: (HIGHLY CURIOUS) SO, YOU’RE LIKE SAMAEL OR WHAT?

I’M WALKING AROUND IN, IT IS MY OWN. BUT LET’S JUST SAY I’M

SUDDENLY AND INSTANTANEOUSLY A FAMILIAR EERIE SOUND IS HEARD.


THE FRIGGIN ISLAND IS MOVING. JIN PUSHED THE DAMN THING. A
SHOT OF RICHARD, TOTALLY INCREDULOUS.

RICHARD: YOU’VE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME.

JACK: (CLUELESS) WHAT THE HELL IS THAT?

RICHARD: (BAFFLED) SOMEONE IS MOVING THE ISLAND.

JACK AND RICHARD COVER THEIR EARS AS THE SCREEN GOES


PARTIALLY WHITE, WE SEE A WHITED-OUT SHOT OF BRAM AND FRANK
COVERING THEIR EARS. A WHITENED SHOT OF SAMAEL IN HIS TEMPLE
ROOM, READING A BOOK, HE STANDS UP, ANGRY, NOT EVEN GESTURING
TOWARD HIS EARS. HE SLAMS DOWN HIS BOOK AS THE SCENE ENDS,
GOING PITCH WHITE.

ACT FOUR:

WE’RE BACK ON DESMOND, WHO APPEARS TO BE SLEEPING. HE’S


SHIRTLESS AND WE SEE THAT HIS WOUND HAS BEEN SEWN. PENNY SITS
QUIETLY NEXT TO HIM, COVERING HIM BACK UP. WE HEAR BERNARD
AND ROSE, OFFSCREEN. THEY ARE STANDING SEVERAL FEET AWAY.

BERNARD: THEY ALL JUST LEFT, ROSE. SAID THEY HAD WORK TO DO.
WE SEWED BOTH ENDS OF THE WOUND, POURED SOME WHISKEY THEY HAD
DOWN IN THERE, HE SCREAMED BUT I THINK IT’S GOING TO BE FINE.

ROSE: I’M SORRY IT TOOK ME SO LONG TO GET BACK OVER HERE, I


JUST NEEDED A MOMENT TO MYSELF.

BERNARD: (UNDERSTANDING NOD) SO, JULIET JUST LEFT, HUH?

WE SWITCH SCENES TO JACK AND RICHARD, ON THEIR WAY UP A


JUNGLED HILL, HEADING TO THE ORCHID GREENHOUSE.

JACK: (CURIOUS) WHAT DOES IT MEAN...MOVING THE ISLAND?

RICHARD: IT’S VERBATIM, JACK. IT MEANS MOVING IT.

JACK: IT’S JUST ROCK...ATTACHED TO THE EARTH’S CRUST, RIGHT?
