Blogging is an emerging and contemporarily popular medium. Except certain cases, why do millions of people indulge in blogging remains a question worth investigating. Also, the entire communication process in case of blogs is significantly different than traditional media. The senders’ and receivers’ cognitive and the psychosocial factors influence a complete process of communication. What are the blogging related thoughts and behaviors of the bloggers and how are the blogs used by them becomes a sender centric issue, worth studying with a communication perspective. The aim of this research is to study the young Indian urban bloggers with reference to their psychosocial activity and other factors influencing that. To achieve this aim it was broken in objectives of studying the blogging activity, understanding the motivations behind blogging and other factors influencing it, as well as looking the bloggers with reference to various entities existing in real and virtual society.
