University of Denver Media Relations Internships Feature Writer Description Interns will assist the University of Denver Athletics

s Media Relations staff with writing feature stories and press releases for the Athletics' Web site as well as for the DU recreation Web site. The candidate will conduct interviews with student-athletes, coaches and staff members to gather information to write feature stories and blogs. Some video elements might be incorporated. The candidate might also have the opportunity to write game recaps/game blogs. DU is currently a member of the NCAA Division I as well as The Summit League, National Collegiate Hockey conference, Big EAST, Mountain Pacific Sports Federation and Rocky Mountain Intercollegiate Ski Association. Qualifications & Requirements Pursuing a degree in journalism, communications or a related field; 1-2 years of writing experience; Strong written and verbal communications skills; Experience using desktop publishing software; Ability to work nights and weekends; Applicants interested in pursuing a career in the media relations/sports information field are best-suited.
