Coal was a major factor into the transition into the industrial revolution Britain was very fortunate to have plenty that could be easily mined.( BBC,2013).This allowed Britain to have easy access to fuel helping them to push through into this new age. Most of the mines were located near the sea this meant that it was easy to transport the coal in land because of the nearby ports. The demand for this mineral led to deeper mines, this had the increase risk of flooding. (BBC, 2013). Inventors Thomas Edison invented the incandescent light bulb 1879, he had many inventions but his most memorable are the phonograph, the light bulb , the kinetographic Camera.( Business Insider,2013).
